I have nothing but the highest of praise for Heart of England Nordic Walking. My first introduction to nordic walking was during a taster session run as part of a Solihull Council fitness day. Alison’s enthusiasm, knowledge and excellent teaching style hooked me in immediately. Since completing my passport training sessions I have enjoyed many hours of nordic walking on walks organised by Alison and by myself. There is a full timetable of organised walks each week, which vary in length and fitness demands; something for everyone.

Alison is very sensitive to the individual needs of her walkers and is always looking for new ways to support these. She is receptive to ideas and suggestions and is keen to continue to develop her provision.

Nordic walking is a full body work out. I find I can walk faster and further when using nordic poles as the walking technique takes the pressure off your knees and hips. When you get the arm swing and foot lift really working the rhythm is hypnotic!
