I have enjoyed long walks in the countryside for years but always felt there could be more to it. Nordic Walking ticks all the boxes – a good walk with a workout thrown in and the chance to share great views, birdsong and a little bit of chatting. I find it gives me time to unwind my mind and recharge my batteries, while I am improving my fitness. I like the social aspect of walking in a group and the extra encouragement that gives me, as walking on my own gets boring. I am looking forward to exploring new walks around our area as well as revisiting the old favourites and enjoying the company along the way.
